Batch Scan Wizard

Batch Scan Wizard (BSW) is an Image Access client application for professional high-volume document scanning: it increases throughput and reduces manual steps. The operator sets up a job template — brightness, contrast, color mode, file format, file names, numbering, metadata, and storage location — and all images are collected in the job until it is closed; saved jobs can be reopened and edited (cut, delete, paste, replace). According to the manufacturer, BSW 6 is the fastest scanning client for Bookeye/BookTEK and WideTEK scanners.

Scanned images are kept in memory, so color mode, format, rotation, mirroring, and camera parameters can be changed without rescanning. Multi-masking and page splitting save selected areas as separate images, metadata and index fields make files easier to find, and the Export Suite module converts files to various formats and resolutions, adds metadata, an electronic endorser, and ICC profiles, and recognizes text using the Tesseract engine (up to 8 languages). With an Export Suite workstation license, finished images and jobs can be imported, edited, and finalized without a connection to the scanner.
