Overview

The WideTEK 36CL eco is a compact 36″ sheet-fed scanner with a resolution of up to 600 dpi. It is supplied as a ready-to-use standalone system: a built-in 64-bit Linux computer, Scan2Net software, and a 15.6″ Full HD touchscreen — no external PC is required.

The manufacturer calls it the “new economy class”: an economical entry point into professional wide-format scanning and a basis for low-cost MFP solutions with wide-format printers. The original is fed face up and remains in view during positioning. The scanner is designed and manufactured in Germany and has a 24-month warranty.

The scanning speed depends on the resolution and color depth settings. In grayscale scanning, WideTEK scanners use photometrically correct white light; this produces the best possible image quality.
