Overview
The MS7000 MKII is a desktop universal digital microform scanner with a wide screen that makes it easy to read spreads and wide originals, print them on paper, and scan them for electronic distribution. The model was sold under the Konica Minolta brand; the Japanese company Kyokko Seiko lists the MS7000 MK II / MS6000 MK II among its own products (it cites the MS6000 MKII as an example of its contract manufacturing — design and production).
The scanner has a 303 × 440 mm screen, a 7.5× lens and 9–16×, 13–27×, 20–50× zoom lenses, autofocus (optional), and motorized prism image rotation; it is designed for microfilm of originals up to A3. It scans to PC at 200–600 dpi, and at 800 dpi for checks in PC mode, taking 5 s per A4 frame at 400 dpi (4 s in continuous mode). The Check Stacking function outputs the front and back of a check onto a single Letter-size sheet; a front-panel button switches between scanning and laser printing, and two MS7000 MKII scanners can share one printer.
