Overview
The MS6000 MKII is a desktop universal digital microform scanner that combines on-screen viewing, paper printing, and scanning for electronic distribution. The model was sold under the Konica Minolta brand; the Japanese company Kyokko Seiko counts the MS6000 MKII among its own products and cites it as an example of its contract manufacturing — design and production.
The scanner has a 300 × 300 mm anti-glare screen, a 7.5× lens and 9–16×, 13–27×, 23–50× zoom lenses, and prism image rotation. It works with microfiche, jackets, aperture cards, 16 and 35 mm roll film, and 16 mm cartridges, and is designed for microfilm of originals up to A4. It scans to PC at 200–600 dpi and up to 800 dpi in PC mode, and prints directly to MSP3000 (20 sheets/min) or MSP2000 (8 sheets/min) laser printers; a front-panel button switches between scanning and printing.
